Dallas Book Fair
We like words here at the Dallas Observer, not just because they let us pay the bills. Big words, little words, words that hit like rocks, we like ‘em all (maybe the latter a little more than most). Naturally, we also love books filled with stories of the unfamiliar, words and ideas that challenge and inform us. That’s why we’ve been appalled in recent months by the ever-growing list of books banned from schools and public libraries, and it’s why the theme of our Best of Dallas®️ 2025 issue is Dallas Book Fair. We like to use our words to give voice to those who are too often unheard or silenced. Finding and sharing information about the many interesting, offbeat and unique shops, restaurants, bars and places to play is always our goal for Best of Dallas. This year we plan to bring a little extra to the table and tell you about our and your many friends who are doing the good work of keeping the ideas and words flowing freely. We think you’ll enjoy it and learn something along the way.

Best of Dallas® is our BIGGEST issue of the year and it’s all about what our READERS vote is the BEST and our Critics who cover the city every day think is the BEST.

Voting opens Wednesday, July 23rd through Wednesday, September 3rd.
The deadline to be nominated is July 15th.
You can vote once per day per email address for all of your Dallas favorites!
How to Win: Promote via your own social channels, at your locations, and within your own database.
